Car-battery charger
Kadlec, Josef ; Procházka, Petr (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is considered by projection and construction of the car battery charger with switching source. One-pulsed conducting changer is base of this charger. The charger is intended for accumulators of nominate voltage 6 and 12V. Accumulators are charged by method of constant voltage with current limitation of 0.5A, 5A, 20A and 50A. Value 50A has reason during stating of car for example in winter, because the charger helps to battery. The device is equipped with additional protection, which protects the charger and also the accumulator and the supply network. Three pilot lights are the next equipment of the device.
Fast-charger for lead-acid batteries 12 V
Kopuletý, Ondřej ; Pazdera, Ivo (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This Master thesis deals with modification of lead battery charger connection. In particular, changes are made to the control board. The theoretical part describes the principle of charging lead batteries and the description of the basic types of switching power supplies. Furthermore, the dimensioning of important components in the circuit together with the optimization of the switching frequency and the parameters of the high-frequency transformer are also presented. At the end of the thesis is the procedure of assembling the whole charger.
Charger for lead-acid batteries
Kopuletý, Ondřej ; Procházka, Petr (referee) ; Ondrejček, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis deals with the modification, construction and testing of lead-acid battery chargers. It is described the principle of charging the batteries and individual topology of the switching power supplies. The original schematic diagram is taken from the thesis of Josef Kadlec. Diagrams of a power and control circuit have been modified. The topology of the charger is two switch forward converter with pulse transformer. The charging method is constant voltage with current limiting.
Uninterruptible Power Supply
Mrázek, Petr ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
The thesis deals with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and associated problems of backup power in case of unexpected outages of electricity. Start of work is dedicated to limitation of the electricity supplies, as well as their causes and consequences. Furthermore, brief history of UPS and subsequently distinguish between UPS’s architectures. There is also a description of the energy sources such as batteries, flywheels or fuel cells. Part of thesis describes security of electricity supply in health care facilities, including requirements for emergency power. The own design of UPS is described in the end.
Smart charger with cell identification
Podaný, Matěj ; Povalač, Aleš (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
This thesis is looking for a suitable method of unambiguous identification of charging cells, so that it can monitor their capacity in the long term and eliminate defective cells. It proposes several such methods where only the most suitable one is selected for the subsequent demonstration. It describes the basic properties of rechargeable cells and selects the one that could be used to demonstrate the selected method of cell identification. It designs an intelligent battery charger which demonstrates the chosen method of identification on modified charging cells.
NiCd, NiMH and Li-Ion Accumulators Charger Controlled via USB
Knop, Petr ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Bartoš, Pavel (advisor)
Universal battery charger Ni-Cd, Ni-Mh and Li-ion batteries. The charger is controlled by microcontroller atmega8 made by Atmel. The charger senses the battery temperature, battery voltage and sends data about charging cycle to created applications over USB interface.
Intelligent charger for lead-acid accumulators 12V/130A with an option "start-car"
Láznička, Martin ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is considered on a basic description of car battery charger with a support function “start-car”. A switching power supply creates a base of the equipment-this is why the charger is compact and easily portable. It is designed for 6V and 12V batteries. A charging by a constant voltage with a current limitation (to 0.5A, 5A or 20A) is used. The charger maximal current is 120A for a short-term load, so a proposal of an appropriate thermal protection is included in the project.
Design of construction, control and electronics for unstable balancing vehicle
Zouhar, František ; Krejčí, Petr (referee) ; Grepl, Robert (advisor)
Thesis deals with design of construction, control and electronics for unstable balancing vehicle. The rst part is focused on the determination of requirements for the function and then design and manufacture of structure in line with set requirements, including 3D models and drawings. The second part is devoted to the creation of simulation models of vehicles using the Lagrange equations of the second kind and using SimMechanics. Also PID and LQR regulators are designed, including the advantages and disadvantages of each regulator for this application. The last part is focused on electronics necessary to vehicle operating. They are mainly power electronics (H-bridge, battery charger, switching supply of voltage board). There are also necessary calculations, complete PCB design and a description of the rmware for the this specifc device.
